Noel Smith is a veteran of the banking and finance sector, first joining Commonwealth Bank in 1963.
After a few years with CBA and several finance companies, Noel moved to Allied Leasing in 1977 – one of the pioneers in Finance Broking in WA. He moved to Sydney with Allied in 1979 and returned to Perth in late 1995, joining Ledge Finance Ltd in 1996.
As the Director of Risk and Compliance for Ledge, Noel has overseen the establishment of our policies for Credit, Risk and Compliance and maintains close relationships with our key finance sources.
In addition, he provides input in connection with any corporate matters where risk or compliance is a factor – cybercrime is a current focus.
Noel is also a former committee member/director of two key industry bodies, CAFBA and MFAA (Equipment & General Finance Brokers Committee), representing the interests of Finance Brokers throughout Australia.
When he’s not at work, Noel enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is also a keen reader, enjoys live music, and follows a variety of sports.
