Equipment Placement – The road to success
All successful businesses start somewhere and for Equipment Placement this somewhere was in Perth, Western Australia in 2002.
Bondi brothers, Brian and John established the business with a focus on supplying the mining industry with used components for mobile plants of all descriptions. In 2002, they were awarded a number of exclusive distribution rights for niche market products which allowed them to enter areas of the mining industry that were not accessible with their previous product offering.
Over the next few years, Equipment Placement continued to grow, increasing their range of products, soon becoming one of the preferred local manufacturers of premium support equipment to the mining, contracting and civil construction industry in Australia. This lead the business down a new path and soon the manufacturing division was separated, forming Equipment Placement Sales and Services (EPSS) and leaving Equipment Placement as the asset division responsible for the new Equipment Rental division.
The business was recently approached by Hydraulic Innovations Mining to conduct a customer demonstration day of a new ZE mobility unit and they are now in the process of negotiating a sales and marketing distribution opportunity.
The ZE mobility unit is a remote controlled undercarriage consisting of a track type drive section with electric drive motors and rechargeable batteries. The unit comes in a variety of forms that have total load bearing capacities and modules of 200, 400, 800 and 1500 kgs.
The unit’s small, robust structure makes it the perfect transportation device to reach work sites where a ute or other mode of transport would not be able to access. Here is a video of the ZE mobility unit in action.
