In case you weren’t already aware, the 28th Diggers and Dealers Mining Forum is currently happening in Australia’s gold mining capital.
Kalgoorlie will have over 2300 visitors this week as people attend the conference to hear from ASX listed mining and exploration companies, check out the exhibition area and build strong business relationships.
This year’s Mining Forum coincides with a strong mining industry, as iron ore, nickel and gold are performing well. This positive climate is set to see plenty of appetite for deal-making, as investors look for the right producers to invest in and vice versa.
Diggers and Dealers Mining Forum Chairman Nick Giorgetta said he had no doubt the resources sector underpinned the Australian economy.
“In May 2019, Australia recorded a trade surplus of $5.75 billion, the largest on record, with predictions that the June surplus will be higher,” he said.
“We believe that these large surpluses are set to continue in the foreseeable future and will continue to strengthen Australia’s economy.
“Given the price of commodities and the value of the Australian dollar, these are truly historic times for the industry and the Australian economy.”
